Rabbinical and sharia courts may arbitrate civil disputes when all parties sign and the court has personal jurisdiction over one party, or all parties are corporations. Proceedings cannot begin without every signature, and the arrangement excludes criminal, administrative and family matters, plus claims involving the state or a local authority.
