Court-appointed defense lawyers for covered security-offense suspects, defendants and convicts are paid by the state, and their fees are deducted from Palestinian Authority transfers. The Finance Minister makes the deduction quarterly, including fees paid for appointments from October 7, 2023, until the law began.
