How it affects you
Retirees receiving a service-period supplement will face annual reductions in pension updates from January 2026, up to 4.5%, followed by three yearly increases of 0.5%. Career soldiers who served at least 10 years and retire after age 40 will receive a pension supplement of up to 7%, with eligible combat soldiers receiving another 4%.

Who pays
- IDF retirees with the supplement Pension updates will be reduced gradually, up to a cumulative 4.5% reduction Section 1(2)(א)
- Dismissed career soldiers They will not receive pension supplements after dismissal for misconduct or a serious offense Section 3(ה)
